The story

Fifty years ago grandfather Angelo began producing wine in Ruttàrs, out of passion. His hobby became work with his father Giuseppe and then profession with Alessandro who today, after studying Viticulture and Oenology at the University of Udine, cultivates - together with his family - 7 hectares of vineyards, SQNPI certified. 20 thousand bottles a year: many are the bottles produced by the company, as a result of low yields in the vineyard and a meticulous selection of the bunches - starting from vines over thirty years of age, whose roots lie in the ponca.

The producer

Pascolo

“Riconoscibilità del vitigno, del cru e dell’annata sono i capisaldi del nostro lavoro, come viticoltori; un lavoro che si concretizza nella raccolta di uve sane, perfette, trasformate con rispetto e sensibilità in cantina, per portare nel calice la più pura espressione del territorio di Ruttàrs”

In the cellar, the desire is to express "authenticity"; the authenticity of the grapes, which is pursued by maintaining "a light hand" in the cellar. Vertical and long-lived wines, where the wood - when used - leaves only a delicate, influential impression from an aromatic point of view. The refinements - in barrels and in bottles - are long, to give the wine time to express itself, developing the balance, elegance and complexity that the Ruttàrs hill can impart, with determination.
