The story
The Komjanc Alessio winery is located on the slopes of the San Floriano del Collio hill, in a panoramic position from which, towards the north, the frame of the hills of the Eastern Alps opens up. The Komjanc company was among the first to understand the potential of this area and to start selling bottled wine, focusing on the production of quality wine for the consumer. The founder of the company is Alessio, whose great-grandparents started wine production in the nineteenth century. It is documented on the Gospodarski List that in 1888 only Florjan Komjanc's wine was deemed "good and perfect wine" by a Viennese commission tasked with selecting the best wines to send to the fair in Vienna to celebrate the emperor's 40th birthday. Alessio, having become independent from his father, founded his own winery in the Seventies and bottled his first wine with the "Alessio Komjanc" label in 1973. Today he is helped in the countryside and in the cellar by his four sons Beniamin, Robert, Patrik and Ivan.

Essere custodi della terra e dei valori che essa esprime attarverso tre secoli
The main characteristics of Komjanc wines are elegance and typicality, sensations that are sought during the winemaking phase by making the most of the grapes: hand-picked at the perfect moment of maturation and vinification respecting the characteristics and aromas of the fruit. Since 2015 the company has availed itself of the oenological consultancy of Gianni Menotti, who has given further quality to the company's wines.
