Kren

The history of the Kren Company begins at the dawn of the last century, when grandfather Stanislao and grandmother Vera decided to put down roots in the Zegla area and start "working the land", right among these hills. The real corporate "revolution" arrives with father Luciano - called "Gianni" - who takes the role of the vine ever higher, to the point of making its cultivation exclusive. Today it is his son Luca who has "picked up the baton". After several years "under the protective wing" of Silvio Jermann, he decided to "return home" to take care of his vineyards and his family. With him a new page begins for this Collio micro-winery which, until two years ago, only sold grapes, without making wine. Currently, the managed hectares are around 13 and the bottles produced annually are around 3000 units - variable, depending on the quality of the season.

Although production is very recent, with the first vintage bottled only in 2021, Kren wines already reveal a great personality. Obtained from predominantly native grapes - ripened on old vines, even 50 years old or more - they retain a typical soul, where the connection to the territory is a value. They are wines that do not fear the passage of time, indeed they "embrace it".
