Venica&Venica

DOC Friuli Colli Orientali Refosco "Bottaz"

Among the indigenous Friulian black grape varieties, it is perhaps the best known, partly because at the first impact one has the feeling of a rustic wine with a strong personality, but with aging in the mouth the finish softens, taking on beautiful nuances that border on elegance. Intense, fruity aroma of morello cherry and ripe berries, especially wild blackberry, but also slightly herbaceous with hints of underbrush. Spicy notes of pepper, cloves cloves and cocoa. Tannin is well present but silky and pleasant to the touch. Full and enveloping, it has a lingering finish consistent with the bouquet, in particular in the fruity and spicy references.
