Ferlat
Cormons (GO)
It was born in a delicate phase of "rebirth" for Italy after the Great War. It was the dawn of the 1950s, when the Silvano Ferlat Agricultural Society "opened its doors" in the town of Cormons. A small company that combined agriculture and livestock farming with the sale of bulk wine, decanted into large glass demijohns with thick edges. A "mixed" approach, which continued until the 2000s, when his son Moreno Jep Ferlat convinced his father to focus exclusively on viticulture, to the point of making his surname a label, which knows how to get noticed: Ferlat Vini. An adventure in which Moreno wanted with him his lifelong friend - and now also partner - Federica Tabacchi, head of commercial management. Today there are 7.5 hectares of vineyards and they have been managed organically since 2014.
Ferlat wines are wines with a strong personality, mature and recognisable, in whose characteristics the sensitivity towards the environment is evident. Walking among the grassy rows, in fact, you understand that the attention to the "well-being" of the ecosystem is real, beyond any "comfortable phrase": spontaneous flora abounds, revealing itself in all its forms.
