A history spanning over 50 years, which has its origins on the Ruttars hill, in the municipality of Dolegna del Collio, where grandfather Dorino purchased the first "handkerchief of land". It was 1964. At the dawn of the '80s, the sons Valneo and Tonino arrived to "graft" new ideas and perspectives, who will guide the development - and the affirmation of the Livon brand, characterized by the iconic Donna Alata of ERTE' - until today. A present that becomes the future, thanks to the inclusion of the 3rd generation and the "passing of the baton", with Matteo Livon as CEO. A "family business" that sees sustainability as the new growth driver. There are 180 hectares of cultivation, divided between the most important DOCs: Collio and Colli Orientali del Friuli; hectares managed responsibly, with SQNPI certification - a "voluntary" integrated pest control system, which excludes the use of chemical weedkillers and other potentially harmful substances, completely from 2021.
Production is around 650,000 bottles/year and is mainly divided into 2 lines: the first, the simplest one, defined as the "Classic Line", involves exclusive vinification in steel while for the "Cru Line" - single vineyards, with limited production - the vinification takes place partly in wood and partly in steel, always with selected yeasts. They are wines which, in their organoleptic characteristics, retain the elegant imprint of the territory: we are in the northernmost part of the Collio, characterized by an exceptional microclimate. Wines of great longevity, to be enjoyed over time.
