Cormons (GO)

Una produzione artigianale, sostenibile e legata alle varietà tipiche del Collio sono il marchio che ci contraddistingue.

It all began with Giuseppe Raccaro, who in 1928 decided to leave the Natisone Valleys to find serenity in an old farmhouse at the foot of Mount Quarin in Cormons, near the church of Santa Maria Apollonia, a suitable site because of the gentle slope of the land and a happy microclimate. After the war his son Mario was able to give new impetus to the business, seizing the opportunity that the newly formed Consortium for the Protection of Collio Wines offered. So in 1970 he chose to specialize in winemaking, which in the 1980s experienced a decisive acceleration in terms of quality and image thanks to Dario Raccaro, who currently, together with his sons Paolo and Luca, has managed to bring the winery to a level of great prestige in the sphere of small and medium family wineries in the area.

The winery covers 7 hectares of vineyards, all located in the area leading from Cormons to the hamlet of Brazzano. It is in this ideal habitat for the vine that our typical varieties such as Friulano, Malvasia and Ribolla Gialla, which together with Pinot Grigio represent 95% of the production, have been taken up with passion. The range is completed with Merlot, the only red wine produced by our winery.
