Ronco Di Pini

Prepotto (UD)

Produciamo vini che vogliono essere espressione del territorio, senza sovrastrutture. Per noi il vino è prima di tutto condivisione, identità e piacere.

The Ronco dei Pini winery is a family-run business located in Prepotto, in the heart of the Colli Orientali del Friuli. Its history dates back to 1968, when Vito Novello acquired his first vineyards, transforming a long-standing family farming tradition into a genuine wine-making venture. Today, the estate manages 20 hectares of vineyards, comprising both owned and leased land, spread across various hillside exposures that lend each plot its unique character. The running of the estate has remained firmly in the hands of the family, with the arrival of the new generation — represented by Francesco and Pietro Novello — ensuring continuity and a fresh perspective on the path set out by the founder.

Ronco dei Pini wines are crafted with a specific aim in mind: to be an authentic expression of the terroir, characterised by balance, drinkability and a distinctive mineral character. Production focuses primarily on native grape varieties — Schioppettino di Prepotto, Friulano and Ribolla Gialla — alongside selected international varieties. Harvesting is strictly manual and the selection of the grapes takes place in two stages, in the vineyard and in the cellar. Work in the vineyard is carried out with respect for the balance of the soil, limiting interventions and preserving the natural vitality of the land. Vinification is tailored to bring out the essence of each wine, without any artificial additions, maintaining a direct and sincere connection with the land of origin.
